Congratulations to this week's winners at Cherry Capital Toastmasters! Winners are in the categories of Best Speaker, Best Evaluator, and Best Table Topics. Alex Moore, Best Speaker, gave a great rendition of information about the civil war, taking the role of two separate ranking officers during the war, one from the north and one from the south. Our General Evaluator for the meeting, Michael Wood, won best evaluator; he gave great feed back to both evaluators and other nuances of the meeting helping us all improve for future meetings. Our winner for Best Table Topics was our returning guest, Megan Donaldson; she explained where she would want to live if she had to move away from Michigan, North Carolina is a great choice! Cherry Capital Toastmasters of Traverse City, MI would like to congratulate this weeks winners of Best Speaker, Best Evaluator, and Best Table Topics. Best Speaker, Clara Cherry, recited the poem "Marie Laveau" by Shel Silverstein, completing a speech in her current pathway. Her evaluator, Mike Conlon, received Best Evaluator by giving her well rounded, detailed feedback for her high energy, enthusiastic "single actor performance". There was a tie this week in our Table Topics section between Bruce Moore and Scott Gorman. Bruce presented the impromptu talk on why he would (or would not) recommend teaching as a profession to today's recent graduates. Scott Gorman delivered his "advice to a recent graduate" of how important it is to focus on building and maintaining relationships. Thanks to the participants, and congratulations to our winners!

Congratulations to this week's winners at Cherry Capital Toastmasters club in Traverse City, MI. Tyler Cerney, winner of Best Speaker, shared his importance of the date June 15th and how it will be the most memorable date to him. Best Table Topics winner, Linda Butka, came up with an impromptu song about flowers and gardening, very impressive! Finally, Best Evaluator, Colby Hemond, observantly noticed the subtilties of Tyler's speech! Well done everyone!

Congratulations to this weeks winners at Cherry Capital Toastmasters in Traverse City, MI. Michael Wood, winning Best Speaker, devlivered a research based speech dedicated to Memorial Day. Some fun facts about Memorial Day that were mentioned are that Memorial Day was origianlly called Decoration Day when it began after the Civil War. Additionally Waterloo, New York is considered the first location to celebrate Decoration Day back on May 5th, 1866. During a fun Table Topics section of "Would You Rather", Scott Korljan, made the choice that he would rather live sometime in the future rather than sometime in the past.
